We're Donating a Portion of Every Sale to the March of Dimes

May 2025 · Maternal Mental Health Awareness Month

I have something close to my heart to share with you, and I'm so glad to be writing this post finally.

Starting now, 10% of our monthly sales will go to March of Dimes, an organization that has been fighting for the health of moms and babies for over 80 years. And my connection to them goes back even further than my own motherhood.

Growing up in Michigan, I remember bundling up on cold winter days and going door to door with my mom, collecting donations for moms and babies who needed help. I didn't fully understand it then. I just knew it felt important.

I understand it now.

As a mother of four, my pregnancies were complicated and, at times, frightening. I dealt with hypertension with every pregnancy. I had a rare condition called an incarcerated uterus twice. I experienced loss. And with each subsequent pregnancy, I carried severe anxiety because of what I'd already been through. After one of my births, I experienced postpartum psychosis and preeclampsia.

I was lucky. I had enough awareness and access to seek specialized help. But I know that so many mothers don't have those same training wheels. They search for answers alone, in the dark, not sure where to turn. That's exactly what organizations like March of Dimes are working to change.

Every apron we make carries something a little extra with it. Tucked inside the left pocket is a custom label with a reminder I hope every person who wears one will feel:

A small note stitched into every apron, because sometimes we all need that reminder while we're showing up for everyone else.

May is Maternal Mental Health Awareness Month, and I can't think of a better time to make this commitment official. Here's something that stopped me in my tracks:

1 in 7 women experience postpartum depression
1 in 10 women experience postpartum anxiety

Mental health issues are the most common complication of pregnancy and childbirth. When left untreated, they carry serious consequences for mothers, for babies, for families. No one should have to navigate that alone.

March of Dimes leads the fight to end preventable maternal health risks and deaths, end preventable preterm birth and infant death, and close the health equity gap for moms and babies.

Every time you shop with us, you're part of that fight too. Thank you for being here and for helping ensure more moms get the start they deserve. To find support, learn more here.

With gratitude,

Cassidy
