Our mission: giving back from the heart

Why March of Dimes

My connection to March of Dimes started long before I became a mother. As a little girl growing up in Michigan, I would bundle up on cold winter days and walk door to door with my mom, collecting donations for moms and babies in need. It was one of my earliest lessons in showing up for others.

Years later, I became a mother of four, and those pregnancies were anything but easy. I experienced hypertension with each one, a rare condition called incarcerated uterus twice, pregnancy loss, severe anxiety born from that loss and its complications, and postpartum psychosis. I had to search for support and tools. I was fortunate to have the awareness and resources to seek specialized help, but I know not every mother does.

That's why this cause is so personal to me, and why I'm proud to give back to an organization that has been fighting for mothers and babies for over 80 years.

A little something tucked inside every apron

"Remember this.. you are loved."

Stitched into the left pocket of every apron is a custom label with a reminder we all need sometimes. Because the work you do in your kitchen, for your family, for yourself, matters, and so do you.

The mission we're supporting

March of Dimes leads the fight for the health of all moms and babies, funding research, leading programs, and providing education, advocacy, and support so every family can have the best possible start.

❤ End preventable maternal health risks and deaths
End preventable preterm birth and infant death
Close the maternal and infant health equity gap

Maternal mental health matters

A mother's mental health is directly connected to her physical health and the health of her baby. Mental health issues are the most common complication of pregnancy and childbirth, yet they remain under-discussed and undertreated.
