A little jewel of a bag.
Perle pairs natural open-weave cane with softly shimmering ivory cord and strands of luminous pearls. The cord is wrapped generously around the upper and lower edges, creating a sculptural frame around the natural cane body.
But the defining detail is the pearl work.
A double strand of oversized pearls forms the handle, then continues directly into the bag's body. Along the side, loops of ivory cord individually embrace the pearls before the strands emerge below the base in delicate cascading ends.
Rather than treating the handle as separate hardware, it becomes part of the bag's architecture.
The effect is textural, slightly extravagant and intentionally handmade: natural cane against luminous pearls, structure against softness, restraint against ornament.
Each Petite Cami Claudel is individually shaped, wrapped, and finished by hand in St. Louis. Variations in the natural cane, weaving, and cord placement are inherent to the handmade process and ensure no two pieces are exactly alike.
