A mid-century burst of light.
Dating to approximately 1950–1965, this silver-tone floral brooch features swirling leaves and stems set with shimmering rhinestones that catch the light in soft flashes of champagne, blush, lavender, pale blue, and green.
Floral and starburst brooches flourished during the 1950s and 1960s, when costume jewelry brought a little high-fashion glamour into everyday dressing. The iridescent stones give this piece the wonderful rainbow sheen associated with aurora borealis-style rhinestones of the period.
Dimensional, sparkling, and beautifully sculptural, it is particularly striking against black velvet, cashmere, tweed, or a tailored coat.
Details: Vintage costume brooch; circa 1950–1965; attributed to the United States; silver-tone metal; iridescent aurora borealis-style rhinestones; floral/starburst design; pin-back closure; one of one.
Condition: Vintage condition with age-appropriate wear and patina. The rhinestones retain their distinctive iridescent sparkle.

Caring for your Classic Grace Apron is simple, and a little attention keeps the Eco-Teflon finish performing beautifully.
- Close the zipper, fasten ties and snaps, and turn inside out before washing
- Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle with mild detergent
- Skip bleach and fabric softeners, as they degrade the Eco-Teflon finish
- Tumble dry low or line dry, and remove promptly
- Cool iron on the reverse side if needed, avoiding direct steam on the coating
- Do not dry clean
